You can leave the music turned up on the “host” if you want. Repeat for all computers that will be playing. If you do get a BSOD, put the cd back in, go back and turn the music off! Bail out of single player and go to the multiplayer screen.Hit F10, go into the options and turn the music volume all the way down.Unless you really like hearing them talk. With the cd in the drive of a “spawned” system, go into single player mode. All computers must be patched to the same version. Install and patch both the full version of StarCraft and Brood War on all computers involved in the game. This is a bit kludgey, and it won’t work over, but it falls under the “good enough for me” catagory. It is indeed possible to “spawn” Brood War for LAN games.
